|Thank you to Elder Johnson's friends who post photos of him on FB so we can see his face so often and I can use them on his blog. We really grateful.|
It has been a great week. Lots of fun things.
The branch is doing well. It's pretty cool that we had our first presidency meeting and it was even cooler to see Koozma conducting our sacrament meeting. Plus Vasya is really starting to come even more out of his shell. He is fulfilling his calling as branch mission leader very well. Kostya also received the Melchezidec priesthood yesterday. Our Branch is moving forward quickly and I'm so excited for that.
Our current investigators are doing well. Rosteek is moving forward and really progressing. He enjoys meeting with us and discussing the principles of the gospel. I think he's found a new circle of support in the church, and that's been a big help for him. We also have Andy and Andrey. Andy is a good man and he came to church this week. He's got a lot of potential. He's pretty open minded in general, but i think he has a special interest in the church.Same for Andrey. I don't know either of them very well as of yet, so I don’t have as much to say about them yet.
Sports night was a great tool for us this week. That is how we found Andy and Andrey. We were just playing football and having good conversation. At the end of the activity, we casually invited them to church. This led to both of them asking more questions, and becoming investigators. I think as long as we are ourselves when inviting people to act,it’s all fine. It's when missionaries act like someone they are not when things get weird. (and people think mormons are weird.)
That was our great week in Krivoy Rog. Hope all is going well for you all.
