I hope you all had a great week.
This week has been a good one. Since the new year our branch has set some new goals and these goals were a little bolder. In short, in order to hit these goals, the members and the missionaries need to work together. With that said, we have been going on a lot of member splits lately. (Where the companionship splits and each missionary goes with a member to an appointment to teach, or something of that nature.) We went on two member splits this week and both were fairly successful. Both of the splits have really pushed me on the language but that's not a bad thing. Easy never made anyone strong, now did it? ha-ha so that's been pretty fun.
I also gave my first blessing to a man in Russian. That was a little daunting for me. He didn’t explode or anything, so I guess I did it all right. Ha-ha
|No explanation, but it kind of explains itself.|
This week we as a district we wanted to do something a little more creative than the normal walking on the street and asking random people if they are interested in learning English or the Book of Mormon. So instead of doing the standard routine, we got a giant sign that said "Free Books". And filled our bags with copies of the Book of Mormon. We walked out onto the street and went at it. It was a pretty fun time and we had lot of great discussions with people on the street. So if there's a lesson behind this it is, free stuff is waaay more effective than anything. ha-ha
It's been a fun week. We had our zone conference interviews with our mission president, and we will be finding out if we are going to be staying in Kharkov this next transfer or not.
Hope you all are having a great winter! Go on some adventures!
